Ahead of Wealdstone FC's FA Trophy Semi-Final against Marine FC, I developed the campaign line A Stone's Throw from Wembley. The phrase played on the club's nickname, The Stones, while capturing the significance of the occasion: Wealdstone were just one win away from their first Wembley appearance in 41 years.
Visually, I paired the line with a stark threshold effect and distressed typography to create a bold identity that reflected the intensity and significance of the tie. The campaign was rolled out across social media before extending into the physical matchday environment, with graphics printed and displayed throughout The Vale to build anticipation and create a unified visual presence around the fixture.
The creative direction proved flexible enough to evolve beyond a single match. Following the semi-final victory, the visual language was further developed into the club's Wealdstone at Wembley campaign, before being adapted again to promote Season Tickets for the following season, demonstrating how a single creative concept could be extended across multiple touchpoints while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
